30 Weeks

I have reached 30 weeks! The final countdown!
Is this real life? In just a short 10 weeks we will meet our baby girl.
I feel so unprepared, yet I just want her here now. We still have a lot to do and things we need to get. Lately I've been making lists because I can't keep track of everything.
I know I'm reaching a point of feeling so indecisive about everything. Like our baby registry, one moment I feel like we have enough, then the next I feel the need to add more.

Funny thing, I got a call from my doctors on Friday, well when I saw their number my heart started racing because I thought that they probably forgot to call me and I actually failed my glucose test! Well thankfully I did not fail it, but I do have really low iron. Which I've been thinking that this entire pregnancy but for some reason it just now showed up in my blood work. It totally explains a lot. I never gained my energy, I always feel so tired, and lately I've been feeling pretty weak. So now I have to take iron supplements and I just hope they help me more than hurt because I know iron can be hard for your body to absorb.

Even though I'm lacking energy, I have this weird need that everything needs to be ready and be in it's place. I can't stand anything being a mess or clutter. I find myself constantly cleaning...even when there isn't anything to clean. I guess this is what they call the nesting phase? We still need so much for her that it's starting to drive me crazy. I'm glad my baby shower is just a couple weeks away. That way we will hopefully have most of what we need! After that we are going to get everything ready. I've never been so excited to pack a bag in my life!

Since I'm 30 weeks, I figured I'd do a little reminiscing and what I looked like at 20 weeks.
There's such a huge difference in just 10 weeks! And I thought I was showing then. I'm always just so amazed at how much my belly changes.

30 Weeks!

How far along? 30 Weeks

Total weight gain: I honestly don't remember what I weighed at the doctors...I was talking to the nurse and didn't even look at the scale. But they said I'm still at a good weight!

Maternity clothes? Yes! I have reached that point in pregnancy that normal clothes are just to uncomfortable and they fit weird. In general I'm very picky how it comes to clothes fitting me, so it's no surprise that being pregnant it's now even worse. Thank goodness I finally ordered a few shirts and a pair of jeans from PinkBlush Maternity..can't wait until those come in!

Stretch marks? Not yet! Fingers crossed they stay away.

Sleep: One night it's terrible, the next it's pretty bearable. But of course still waking up to pee every few hours.

Best moment of this week: Celebrating my birthday! Caleb had the whole weekend off, and the day of my birthday. So it was so nice to get to spend that time together. We had just a small party, but I'm really not feeling up to much social gatherings at this point.

Miss anything? Not to much, just feeling comfortable in clothes again.

Movement: Yes! It's my favorite. Even when she moves in an uncomfortable way for me, I don't mind. I just really don't know when this girl sleeps because she's moving all throughout the day, and when I'm up at night. She's up wiggling all around. I can't figure out if me laying on my side really gets to her because she moves and kicks SO much.

Food cravings: I really don't have a craving for anything in particular this week. The only thing I find myself really wanting is an Iced Caramel Latte.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I can't quite figure out what's been bothering me lately. But I just haven't felt to good. Maybe between the heat and normal pregnancy symptoms are getting to me. But I'm really hoping and praying that this isn't a third trimester thing.

Gender: A sweet baby girl!

Labor signs: Nothing except braxton hicks contractions

Symptoms: A lot of aches and pains, especially in my ribs and back. I'm getting to be pretty uncomfortable no matter what. I sit...uncomfortable, stand..uncomfortable, lay down...uncomfortable. It's been pretty tough lately to just sit and relax. Also I'm so exhausted that I could just sleep a whole day away.

Belly button in or out? Well when little miss likes to poke it out, it is out. Otherwise it's still an innie-outie.

Wedding rings on or off? On and off. If it's a humid day, there's no way. I think I'm going to get a fake set of rings just so I constantly have something on my finger. I hate not wearing my rings. Especially since I love mine so much. And I've had a ring on my finger so many years it's way to weird not having anything.

Happy or moody most of the time: In between. I have days where I'm in a great mood. Than other days I'm not.

Looking forward to: Our Maternity photoshoot! We have our first scheduled for Friday evening! I can't wait.

14 Weeks

Hello 2nd Trimester!!!
I've been waiting for you.

I'm incredibly happy to be entering into the 2nd trimester. After a few days this past week of feeling super nauseous, I'm hoping it's calming down. For good.

14 weeks!!
Our little sweet pea is the size of a large lemon!

How far along? 14 weeks, 2nd trimester!
Total weight gain: Probably the same as last week. I haven't ate as much because my appetite just wasn't there. I need to invest in a scale so I can keep track.
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but EVERYTHING is super uncomfortable. I am loving leggings and yoga pants more and more.
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep: Horrible. I toss and turn...and I'm up almost every hour. I'm all achy, and if I lay a certain way for to long, it's worse. We bought a body pillow so I'm hoping that helps with my sleep issues.
Best moment of this week: Going to the movies with my hubby and just having a whole day together.
Miss anything? Not being grossed out by food. And having a normal appetite.
Movement: Not yet, but I can't wait to feel little movements! I've been told that I'll probably feel movements early on. I. Can. Not. Wait.
Food cravings: Fruit, bagels and cream cheese, Boston creme donuts, and milk. Oh, I did crave a nice fresh salad this week...but with every bite I felt really nauseous.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I found out the site of pickles makes me extremely nauseous. I still hate most meat, I'm hoping that changes soon because grilling season is coming up and that's been my favorite! Avocado is absolutely horrible, I gag just thinking about it. I can't have any pepper...not even the smallest amount.
Gender Guesses: Not sure! But I have my guesses! And I'm SO curious to see if I have any sort of instinct.
Labor signs: No way!
Symptoms: Holy crap sore boobs..again. Heartburn, more like acid reflux is what it feels like. I'm also breaking out terribly...I know it's hormones and I just have to wait it out. I am getting more headaches, but that could be allergies since I'm still stuffed up and can't breathe.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I've been pretty moody. More like impatient with everything. Going out in public is a struggle because I literally don't have the patience right now. And I have road rage...I used to never feel the need to yell at someone while driving...now I need to.
Looking forward to: I'm finding myself feeling pretty impatient lately about what the baby is. So I'm defiantly looking forward to finding out!

How I found out I was pregnant & How I told my Husband

This post may defiantly be more for the ladies since I highly doubt guys want to hear about monthly lady things. You're welcome :)

Trying to think back two and half months ago is hard because they have been a blur. I think it's my brains way of trying to forget how I felt.

It was a Sunday towards the end of January. I can't remember the exact date. The week before I wasn't really feeling the greatest, but I didn't think anything of it since my period was coming and I typically get all of the pms symptoms. Once my period was a couple days late I still didn't think much of it because I was sick(or so I though) with some stomach thing the week earlier. Usually if I get sick it delays it. But there were a few signs that I got that I NEVER get with my period. Usually my boobs are just sore. But this time they hurt so bad and felt like they were on fire. Also, I didn't mention any of this to Caleb not because I didn't want him to know. But I just didn't want to be one of those people who thinks every little thing meant that I was pregnant.

So that weekend, I took a THREE hour nap...I have never been that tired in my life(apparently my body thought that was funny because now I'm even MORE tired) and I had no appetite. I did really want pizza and that Sunday my parents were having pizza at their house so I was pretty excited. Well I felt extremely sick after eating it...which rarely happens these days since I have a good control over my stomach. All Sunday I decided that I was just going to test because it was driving me crazy and if I wasn't pregnant then my body needed to really calm down. So that evening I drove to the store, picked up a test and planned to take it the next morning. But on my way home I got a pretty bad stomach cramp, so I just prayed. I can't remember what I prayed but I know I did. And as soon as I got home I ran inside to take the test...there was no way I was waiting til the morning. Caleb was on his way home from work at this time and I wanted to take it before he got home. Well as soon as I set that thing on the counter, two bright lines showed up. I was defiantly shocked...freaking out...half crying..half wanting to throw up. I only took one, I know some people take a lot but one was all the proof I needed.
Once Caleb got home, I said nothing but to go up into our bathroom. So he did and he looked all around until he spotted the test on the sink. He was defiantly shocked but came over to me and smiled and hugged me. Of course then I started crying a lot. I wanted to tell him in a cute way..but with this being our first, there's no way I could keep that from him. So maybe our second I'll do a cute way.

Up next, how we told our parents!

Big News!!!!!!!

We are setting the timer to welcome a little bundle of joy this Fall!!!

I have been keeping this a secret since January! Well if you follow me on Pinterest...my pins were pretty obvious ;)
Well not to family and close friends of course. We told them the week we found out. Even though I was super early, I wanted them to know because I know we would have their support.

Ever since I started my blog years ago, I always knew one day I would want to document my pregnancy. I would spend WAY to much time reading other pregnancy blogs. But it's a way to look back and remember things that you might forget. So I'm not going to turn my entire blog into pregnancy...but I will be posting updates and things I find a long the way.

Once I found out I was pregnant. I started writing drafts on here and just saving them. Just so I would remember everything I was experiencing. I was pretty sick and that's something I'm sure I won't forget. I've been pretty quiet on social media because I couldn't be on my computer or phone for more than a few minutes without feeling really sick. Now that I'm reaching my second trimester I've had days where I feel better and I cherish them! Because I know the next day might not be so good.

So stay tuned because more updates will be coming!!!

Cheers!
